Richard Burgess

Richard Burgess currently serves as the Deputy Head of Curriculum for Sport, Public Services, Hair, Beauty, and Animal Care at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, a position held since July 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Programme Leader and Lecturer in Sport at Selby College from September 2017 to July 2024, and as a PE teacher at both Dixons Kings Academy and Bruntcliffe Academy. Richard also has experience as an Outdoor Supervisor at Stockeld Park and a Coach for Manchester United Soccer Schools. Educational qualifications include a PGCE in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Northumbria University and a Bachelor's degree in Sports Therapy from Teesside University.
