Joshua Kim

Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer at Heartbeat Technologies

Joshua Kim has an extensive work experience that spans across various industries. Starting in 2012, they worked as a prop maker at Kimer Props, where they combined their passion for creating and innovating. In 2017, Joshua co-founded and became the CEO of JetterMed LLC, a medical device start-up focused on improving the pediatric healthcare experience. At JetterMed, they managed the project and collaborated with medical professionals to design and develop a child-friendly pain mitigation device. In 2019, Joshua joined Northwestern University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Engineering Design Innovation Masters class. Joshua provided support to the students and helped with a business simulation activity. Joshua also has experience in the healthcare and design field, having worked as a Senior Designer and Program Coordinator, as well as a Design Director at the Medical University of South Carolina. Currently, Joshua is the co-founder and Chief Design Officer of Heartbeat Tech Inc., a company that aims to create innovative solutions at the intersection of healthcare and design to improve patient care.
