Tom Schmit

Tom Schmit's work experience includes positions at various companies. Tom started their career at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1988, where they worked as a Sr Sales Manager and Chemical Engineer for ten years. After that, they joined Rhein Chemie as a Regional Sales Manager, overseeing sales territory and distributors for the company's specialty rubber chemicals. In 2000, they moved to QA Products, where they served as an Engineering and Project Manager, leading operations and project management for a bakery toppings manufacturer. Following that, Tom joined Sara Lee Foods, where they held roles as an Engineering Manager and Sr Manager KOSL, responsible for facility management, capital spending, and introducing new technology to the plant. Tom then joined Ed Miniat Company as a Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager, leading process improvement teams and managing the maintenance department. In 2017, Tom joined Hearthside Food Solutions as a Director Of Engineering.

Tom Schmit earned their MBA in Operations, Strategy, and Organizations from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management between 1992 and 1995. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1984 to 1988.
