Jen Cooper

Senior Director, Research & Analytics at Heartland Alliance

Jen Cooper has over 10 years of experience in research, evaluation, and impact roles. Jen most recently served as the Senior Director of Research & Analytics at Heartland Alliance, overseeing a team of 10 staff. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Research, Evaluation & Impact at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, where they led evaluation efforts for various programs. Jen also served as the Program Director & Evaluator at Northwestern Medicine and the Research Project Manager at the University of Chicago Medicine. Jen has a background in health services research and health economics and has supported numerous grant submissions and projects. Jen's early career included roles as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Development Advisor at Peace Together Uganda, and Monitoring and Evaluation Intern at Wrap Up Africa.

Jen Cooper obtained their BS degree in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2006 to 2009. Jen then pursued an MPH degree specializing in Epidemiology and Global Health at the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2012.
