Daniel Hughes

Daniel Hughes has extensive experience in procurement and sales/marketing roles within the telecommunications industry. Daniel most recently served as the Head of Procurement at Heartland Bank LTD. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Commercial and Services at One New Zealand from 2020 to 2023. Daniel also worked as a Procurement Consultant at BNZ/Pareto Toolbox from 2018 to 2020 and as a Procurement Manager and Category Manager at Spark New Zealand from 2013 to 2018. In addition, Daniel has experience as a Sales and Marketing Director at Apollo Submarine Cable System Ltd from 2008 to 2012 and as a Submarine Cable Planning and Investment professional at Verizon Business from 2000 to 2008. Their roles have involved managing procurement, sales, and marketing activities, as well as planning and investing in submarine cable projects.

Daniel Hughes has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Geophysics from the University of Birmingham, which they obtained from 1998 to 1999.
