Derek Van Kooten has had a diverse range of work experience in the field of agronomy sales. Derek started their career as an Agronomy Sales Intern at Key Cooperative in 2013, where they worked until 2017. In 2017, they moved on to Innovative Ag Services where they served as an Agronomy Sales Specialist until 2019. Finally, they joined Heartland Co-op in 2019 as a Sales Agronomist.
Derek Van Kooten obtained an Associate's degree in Agriculture, General from Dordt University, which they attended from 2013 to 2015. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy and Crop Science at Iowa State University, completing it from 2015 to 2017.
