Greg Sorvig

Artistic Director at Heartland Film

Greg Sorvig has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Greg currently works at Tribeca Festival as a Senior Associate Programmer since November 2021. Previously, they held the role of Associate Programmer from October 2020 to November 2021 and served as a Short Film Screener from December 2018 to October 2020.

Prior to joining Tribeca Festival, Greg worked at Heartland Film where they held multiple roles. Greg was the Artistic Director starting from September 2019. Before that, they served as the Director of Film Programming from December 2017 to September 2019. In August 2016, Greg took on the role of Director of Film Programming & Marketing, where they were responsible for handling public relations, communications, marketing efforts, and film programming. From June 2012 to July 2016, they served as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations, bringing marketing in-house, establishing metrics, and delivering record attendance.

Before their time at Heartland Film, Greg worked as a Marketing Manager at Shiel Sexton Company, Inc. from June 2011 to May 2012. Greg managed communications, marketing efforts, writing press releases, blog posts, and handling web and social media management.

From June 2010 to June 2011, Greg worked as a Web & Multimedia Design Manager at the National Precast Concrete Association. Greg managed web and multimedia content, saving the association costs through the development of a new WordPress-based website.

Greg's career started at Hunt Construction Group, where they worked as a Graphic Designer from November 2006 to June 2010. Greg handled marketing and communications duties, design services, and organized the company's corporate photography library.

Greg also had internship experiences at The Walt Disney Company, where they served as an Education Operations Team Intern in 2006. Greg provided guest service and designed educational materials. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at The Home Depot, completing a signage manual project.
