The Heartland Institute
Linnea Lueken is an experienced researcher currently holding a position at The Heartland Institute since October 2021, focusing on climate and environmental policy. Previous roles include contract engineer at Upstream International LLC and logging geologist at Halliburton. Linnea also served as an intern at The Heartland Institute, concentrating on energy and climate communications. Earlier experience includes an undergraduate research assistant role at the University of Wyoming Petroleum Engineering Department, where proficiency in the DrillSim-5000 simulator was developed, and a lab assistant position within the University of Wyoming's Geology/Geophysics/Paleontology department. Linnea's career began with a contract internship at Kingsbridge Healthcare Finance. Linnea earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Physical Sciences in 2017.
