Jamie Hillend has extensive work experience in various roles within the label and paper industry. They started their career at Appvion, Inc. in 1993 as a Procurement Manager, where they were responsible for coordinating the purchase and consumption of materials for the manufacturing process. In this role, they provided strategic direction and managed a team of specialists.
From 2001 to 2009, Jamie served as the Executive Director of Encapsys - Market Development at Appvion, Inc. They launched a new business unit focused on micro encapsulation technology and collaborated with partners to develop innovative solutions for new markets.
In 2009, Jamie became the Executive Director of the POS Business at Appvion, Inc. and later served as the Executive Director & GM of the Tag, Label & Entertainment Business from 2011 to 2012. They then held the role of Vice President Thermal from 2012 to 2015.
In 2015, Jamie joined Heartland Label Printers, LLC. as the Executive Director of Sales & Marketing. They later advanced to the position of Vice President & General Manager in May 2021.
Throughout their career, Jamie has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and expertise in the label and paper industry.
Jamie Hillend earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pulp & Paper Engineering from the University of Washington. Jamie attended the university from 1977 to 1981.
