Cristina Andronescu

Cristina Andronescu is an experienced data scientist with a strong background in quantitative methodology and political economy. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Hearts & Science since May 2019, Cristina has previously held data science positions at Genesis Research and NYC Data Science Academy, where notable projects included the creation of a movie recommender system using collaborative filtering techniques. Early experiences include a research internship at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, focusing on educational outcomes, and roles at Georgetown University and the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt involving data analysis and content analysis. Educational credentials include a Master of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Arts from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College, complemented by additional studies in Germany and at Middlebury College.
