Nadira Bhowal is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as a Case Planner at HeartShare St. Vincent's Services since July 2021, where service plans are developed collaboratively to meet the needs of children and families. In addition to this role, Nadira functions as a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line. Previous positions include Research Assistant at The City College of New York, where an in-depth study on time perception in individuals with ADHD was conducted, and a Research Intern, focusing on parent-child attachment styles in at-risk populations. Earlier experience includes administrative support in a CPA firm, Site Leader at GallopNYC promoting therapeutic horseback riding for individuals with disabilities, and as an intern at the Sadie Nash Leadership Project, addressing social issues impacting women of color. Nadira holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from The City College of New York and is pursuing a Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling at St. John's University.
