Douwe van der Meij

Douwe van der Meij has a diverse work experience in the IT industry, spanning over multiple roles and companies. Douwe started their career as an Intern at Medimetrica B.V. in 2005. Douwe then worked as a Software Developer at MPlus Software BV. from 2003 to 2005 and later as a Software Developer at XXL Webhosting BV. from 2005 to 2007. Douwe then joined Novulo Nederland BV. as a Software Engineer from 2007 to 2011, during which they also served as an Intern from 2008 to 2009. Douwe continued their career at Goldmund, Wyldebeast & Wunderliebe as a Senior Software Engineer & Project Manager from 2011 to 2015.

In 2014, Douwe joined Karibu Online as an IT Management Consultant. Douwe moved to iBOOD.com in 2016, where they held multiple roles such as Software Architect & Team Lead from 2016 to 2018, Head of Back-end from 2018 to 2019, and Head of Development from 2019 to 2021. Douwe then worked as a Technical Consultant at Fox-IT from 2021 to 2021. Currently, they are serving as the Head Of Information Technology at Heaten AS, where they are responsible for defining, designing, and implementing the digital roadmap for Very-High-Temperature Heat Pump (VHTHP) and overseeing data engineering, commercial software, operational software, and other back-office utilities. Additionally, they are set to become a Teacher at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from May 2023 to November 2023.

Douwe van der Meij earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from NHL Hogeschool between 2003 and 2005. Their education journey began at Friesland College from 1999 to 2003, where they pursued ICT Lyceum.
