Owen Gates

Owen Gates is an experienced professional currently serving as a Retail Data & Digital Consultant at Heathrow since May 2025. Prior to this role, Owen led the customer digital strategy and transformation at SSP Group Plc. as the Group Head of Digital, managing a diverse portfolio of over 500 brands across 3000+ units globally. Earlier experience includes several managerial positions at PwC UK, focusing on M&A advisory and strategy projects for clients in Retail, FMCG, and Healthcare. Owen also has a background in education, having worked as a Mathematics Teacher and Head of Numeracy at Springwest Academy, as well as a Mathematics Tutor with Owl Tutors. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Bristol, a Senior Leadership Programme from Hult Ashridge Executive Education, and further studies in Managerial Finance at LSE, along with a PGCE in Secondary School Mathematics from Canterbury Christ Church University.
