Doug Starr

Doug Starr is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software development, electronics, and quality assurance. Currently serving as the Director of Software Development at HCSS since February 2014, Doug has held various leadership roles within the organization, including Senior Software Development Manager and Software Development Supervisor. Prior experience includes working as an Electronics Technician at Stone Aerospace, contributing to NASA-funded robotic vehicles, and as a Software Test Engineer III at Ultra Electronics Advanced Tactical Systems, where Doug led cross-functional teams and facilitated the transition to automated testing. Doug's career began in the US Navy, where leadership and technical skills were honed while maintaining C4I systems aboard the USS Coronado. Doug holds a certification in Communications Technology from the U.S. Navy Electronics Technician Training and a high school diploma from Palmer High School.
