Rachel Lerner

General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Hebrew SeniorLife

Rachel Lerner joined Hebrew SeniorLife as general counsel and chief compliance officer in March 2012. She also serves as the director of HSL’s Center for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and Neglect, which provides shelter and supportive services to those in need, and builds awareness of the growing epidemic of elder exploitation through educational programming and community outreach.

In her various roles, Rachel manages a small team of attorneys and compliance professionals who provide transactional, regulatory, and litigation-related advice across the organization, as well as oversight for HSL’s compliance program. Previously Rachel served as assistant general counsel and chief compliance officer at Five Star Senior Living, and as an associate in the New York and Washington, D.C. offices of Arent Fox LLP.
