Renate Den Elzen

Renate den Elzen is an experienced communication advisor with a strong background in crisis communication and social media strategies. Currently serving as a Senior Communicatieadviseur at Hecht since October 2018, Renate previously worked as a crisis communication advisor at Veiligheidsregio Hollands Midden from November 2019 to May 2022. From April 2005 to November 2018, Renate held various roles within the Politie, including Communicatieadviseur for the directie Communicatie and Projectteam Crisiscommunicatieteam, where collaboration on a project for media monitoring tools was a key achievement. Earlier experience includes a position as a medewerker at SLS Wonen and an internship at Kega, Adviesland. Renate holds degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Ichthus hogeschool, along with foundational education from Leeuwenhorst College.
