Dominic Krause

Dominic Krause is a mining engineer with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Mine Engineer II at Hecla Mining Company since October 2025. Prior to this role, Dominic worked at Americas Gold and Silver from February 2022 to October 2025, initially as Mine Engineer I and advancing to Mine Engineer II. Dominic's professional journey includes serving as Mine Project Engineer at USG from February 2021 to February 2022 and gaining valuable internship experience as a Mine Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs Inc in 2019. Dominic began a career in engineering as a Geotechnical Engineering Undergraduate Research Assistant at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology from December 2017 to May 2019. Earlier work experience includes a role as a Fishing Guide at Ballard's Resort from May 2011 to August 2017. Dominic holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Mining Engineering and Geological Engineering from South Dakota Mines, completed in 2020, and graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in 2015.
