Arlan Harris

Arlan Harris is the Chief Operating Officer at Swirlds Inc since November 2016, where strategic business initiatives and financial models have been established, notably for the Hashgraph distributed ledger, an alternative to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Arlan has served as a member of the Hedera Hashgraph Council since September 2018 and as Chairman of the Board at Dallas LIFE Homeless Recovery Center since January 2010. As a Partner and Managing Partner at Mobility Ventures, LifeGate Venture Capital, and Happy Life Capital since September 2009, Arlan has focused on investments in wireless infrastructure and Christian-influenced high-growth startups. Previous roles include Senior Vice President and General Manager at Ixia and 3Com, with significant leadership experience at Siemens, Austin Ventures, and Netensity, Inc., the latter being a company founded by Arlan that specializes in integrated broadband solutions. Arlan Harris holds a BSMS degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas.
