Richard Bair

Richard Bair has over 20 years of software engineering experience. Richard began their career in 2001 as a Software Engineer at Digital Technology International. In 2003, they became the VP of Software Engineering at Autocraft Services Inc., where they designed a rich client experience. In 2004, they joined Sun Microsystems as a JavaFX UI Controls Lead and a Software Engineer. Richard then moved to Oracle in 2010, where they worked as a Senior Director Software Engineering, Internet of Things Cloud Architect, and Director of Software Development and Cloud Architect. In 2021, they became the VP of Software Engineering at Hedera Hashgraph. Currently, they are the VP of Software Engineering at Swirlds Labs, where they lead the engineering organization and works on groundbreaking technology.

Richard Bair obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield.
