Gerard de Ruiter

Gerard de Ruiter is an experienced Offshore Construction Superintendent currently employed by Heerema Marine Contractors since March 2020, having previously served as Assistant Superintendent. Prior to this role, Gerard was the Offshore Construction Manager at Boskalis from February 2019 to March 2020 and also held various positions at Heerema Marine Contractors over a span of several years, including Assistant Superintendent Offshore Construction and Shift Foreman. Gerard's extensive project experience includes notable installations and decommissioning operations across various locations such as the UK, Denmark, and India, demonstrating a strong background in supervising construction, pipe-lay, and fabrication activities. With earlier career experience as Captain at Jumbo Shipping & Offshore and Chief Officer at Jumbo Maritime, along with a solid educational foundation in Nautical studies from NHL Hogeschool, Gerard de Ruiter possesses a comprehensive skill set in offshore construction and marine operations.
