Nico van der Wiel

Nico van der Wiel is a seasoned structural engineer with extensive experience in the offshore and marine sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Structural Engineer at Heerema Marine Contractors since October 2019, Nico has previously held the position of Lead Structural Engineer at SPT Offshore from September 2018 to September 2019. Prior to that, Nico worked for Temporary Works Design from August 2007 to September 2018, where responsibilities included overseeing project engineers and ensuring technical quality, budget, and planning as a Lead Engineer, along with managing multiple projects as a Project Engineer. Nico began the career as an Autocad Draftsman and Engineer. Educated at Delft University of Technology, Nico holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
