Russell Merlo

Russell Merlo has a vast amount of experience in the insurance industry. Russell began their career at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. in 1995, working in various roles including Vice President of the National Construction Practice and Vice President of Excess Casualty. In 2002, they became a Vice President at Marsh & McLennan and remained in this role until 2005. Following this, they joined Lockton Companies as an Assistant Vice President/Account Executive from 2007 to 2008. Since 2009, they have been employed at Heffernan Insurance Brokers, where they currently hold the position of Senior Vice President - Account Executive.

Russell Merlo pursued higher education by obtaining an MBA in Business from Marylhurst University from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management & Marketing from the University of Portland, attending from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their academic achievements, Russell Merlo has additional certifications, including being a Certified Authority on Workers' Compensation from Accident Fund Holdings, Inc., and a Licensed Property & Casualty Broker from the California Department of Insurance.
