James van Smeerdijk

James van Smeerdijk is a seasoned consultant and leader with over three decades of experience in strategy, policy, and economic issues across diverse sectors. Currently, James serves as the Founder and Managing Director of atticusnow, established in 2019, and holds board positions at the Heide Museum of Modern Art and VensoGrow. A Fellow and former Board Member of the Institute of Public Administration Australia, James has contributed significantly to public sector leadership and innovation. Prior roles include Partner at PwC Australia, CEO of The Allen Consulting Group, and various positions within the Victorian Government. James holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and has completed leadership courses at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Leadership Victoria.
