Dr. Katharina Beumelburg

Dr. Katharina Beumelburg is a highly experienced executive in sustainability and strategic leadership, currently serving as the Chief Sustainability & New Technologies Officer and Member of the Managing Board at Heidelberg Materials since October 2024. Prior to this role, Dr. Beumelburg held notable positions at SLB as Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer and Member of the Executive Management Team, and at Siemens Energy as Senior Vice President of Transmission Service. An extensive career at Siemens spanned various leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of Strategy at Siemens Gas and Power and Global Head of Strategy and Business Development for the Power and Gas Division. Dr. Beumelburg also contributed to Hydrogen Europe as a Board Member. Academic qualifications include a Dr.-Ing. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, complemented by executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Kennedy School, Princeton University, and Stanford University.
