Dr. Volker Wagner has extensive experience in the refractories and cement industries, currently serving as the Global Refractories Manager at HeidelbergCement since January 2020. Prior to this role, Dr. Wagner held various positions at Calderys from September 2009 to December 2019, focusing on key accounts and market development in Europe for the cement and lime sectors, alongside providing technical support and commercial assistance in project business. Earlier experience includes serving as Technical Marketing Manager at LWB Refractories from January 2005 to August 2009, where expertise was applied in developing business opportunities in the steel and iron industries, and as Sales Manager for Cement at LWB Refractories from October 1994 to March 2002, emphasizing sales strategies in the Asian markets. Dr. Wagner holds a promotion in Festkörperchemie from The University of Bonn and a Diplom in Festkörperchemie from TU Dortmund University.
