Jan Skocek

Jan Skocek is an experienced R&D Program Manager specializing in Carbonation Technologies at Heidelberg Materials, where responsibilities include scientific coordination and management of projects aimed at CO2 reduction in the fields of cement, concrete, and alternative binders since May 2012. Prior to this role, Jan Skocek served as a Postdoc and Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Denmark from September 2006 to May 2012. Jan Skocek began the academic journey as a Research Assistant at the Czech Technical University in Prague from 2003 to 2006, culminating in a Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering. Jan Skocek obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering with a focus on Mechanics of Solids, Fracture Mechanics, and Materials from the Technical University of Denmark between 2006 and 2009.
