Johnny Aabenhus Olesen

Johnny Aabenhus Olesen has extensive experience in engineering and project management within the construction and industrial sectors, currently serving as the Head of Engineering and Projects for Europe at HeidelbergCement since June 2014. Olesen has held several senior roles, including Head of Engineering for Western and Southern Europe and Head of Project Management for Northern and Eastern Europe, as well as overseeing significant capital expenditure projects. Prior to this, Olesen worked at FLSmidth from March 2005 to July 2014, where responsibilities included leading the Project Management Department and managing major projects in Russia and Iran. Early professional experience includes project management roles at FLS miljø and HOH water technology, and Olesen began the career as a project engineer at FLS miljø after earning a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Helsingør Teknikum in 1990.
