Raffaele Esposito

Raffaele Esposito has extensive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within the construction materials industry. Currently serving as the Global Category Leader at Heidelberg Materials since October 2016, Raffaele oversees the strategic sourcing of building materials at a global level, reporting to the Board of Directors. Prior to this role, Raffaele held positions as Group Category Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Manager for the Africa & East Mediterranean Region, focusing on purchasing strategies and business model optimization following mergers and acquisitions. Raffaele's earlier experience includes serving as Group Purchasing Manager and Group Buyer at Italcementi, where responsibilities involved managing global sourcing for packaging and raw materials. Raffaele began the professional journey at Bolici as a Group Buyer and Procurement Team Leader. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Business Management from MIP Politecnico di Milano and a Ph.D. from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, complemented by a degree in Engineering of Materials from the same university.
