Anders Holten Skånlund has extensive work experience in various roles within the energy industry. Anders Holten currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Heimdall Power since May 2021. Prior to this, they were actively involved in the Green Party Norway since January 2015.
Before their current role, Skånlund worked at Statnett SF, where they held the positions of VP and Head of the Brussels Office from January 2020 to May 2021, and VP of the European Affairs Department from November 2014 to January 2020.
Skånlund also has experience as a Partner at THEMA Consulting Group from August 2010 to November 2014. In this role, they were responsible for establishing and building a consultancy business, providing services in areas such as business development, strategy, market regulation, and energy policy.
Prior to THEMA Consulting Group, Skånlund worked at Statnett as the VP and Head of Market Design Europe from January 2005 to July 2010. Anders Holten played a key role in the establishment and management of the Market Design Europe department, focusing on cross-border electricity trading, negotiation of agreements/solutions, and the development of Nordic and European power markets.
Skånlund's early career includes various positions at Norsk Hydro, starting in 1996. Anders Holten held roles such as Head of Power Trading, Head of Risk Management, and Manager of Commercial Strategy. In these positions, they were responsible for trading and managing the physical and financial portfolio in Nordic and Continental European markets, as well as business development, commercial strategy, and board membership at the Nordic Association of Electricity Traders.

Anders Holten Skånlund obtained their MSc degree in Environmental Engineering, Technical Planning, Transportation, and Project Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 1987 and 1990. Following this, they pursued an MBA degree with a focus on International Finance, Negotiations, and Business Strategy at The University of British Columbia from 1994 to 1996. In 2019 and 2020, Anders attended the BI Norwegian Business School for a part-time Executive Master course in Green Growth, further expanding their knowledge in Business and Commerce.
