Brian Berry

Brian Berry is an accomplished professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Chief Product Officer at Heimdall Power since August 2025 and as Managing Director and Founder of Curious Insights since August 2022. At Curious Insights, Brian leads initiatives to provide sustainable energy solutions. Prior to these roles, Brian was on garden leave after serving as Chief Product Officer at Ampacimon, where responsibilities included overseeing product lifecycle strategies. Brian's career also includes significant positions such as Global Product Leader at Reactive Technologies Limited, where Brian developed a scalable inertia measurement service, and Senior Power Systems Engineer at GE Energy Connections, focusing on power system dynamics. Earlier experience at Eskom involved technical leadership in wide area monitoring systems and power simulation studies. Brian holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from the University of the Witwatersrand.
