Marie Desroches

Marie Desroches has over 13 years of work experience in engineering and business development. Marie is currently serving as the VP Engineering & Business Development at HeiQ since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at AVA Biochem AG for almost 10 years, holding various roles including Senior Process Engineer & Deputy CTO, Senior Process Engineer & Technical Project Manager, and Process Development Engineer. Marie started their career at SNC-Lavalin as a Technology Package Engineer and later worked as a Project Engineer. During their time at SNC-Lavalin, they were involved in a significant project for the construction of Emirates Aluminium, the largest greenfield aluminium smelter in the world.

Marie Desroches holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering, which they obtained from McGill University from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University between 2000 and 2004. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained a certification in the GARP SCR Program from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in May 2021.
