Systems Engineer at Heirloom

Mark Cuson has a diverse work experience. Mark began their career in 2011 as an intern at Shmoop, where they wrote new SAT Math questions and produced original content for the AP Physics C test prep section. In 2012, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Stanford University, where they redesigned the statics equilibrium lab and created online vector math tutorials for the E14 Introduction to Solid Mechanics course. Mark also co-authored a research paper for the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). In 2013, they held internships at both Gener8, Inc. and Stanford University. At Gener8, Inc., they worked in production and assembly on various non-consumer electronics, designed and built test and demonstration rigs, and complied a CAD library of electrical and mechanical parts for the engineering department. At Stanford University, they worked as a Resident Assistant, supporting individual residents through mental, emotional, interpersonal, physical, and academic issues, and planned and executed dorm events. From 2016 to 2018, Mark worked at Plenty as a Senior Systems Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer. In 2022, they began working as a Systems Engineer at Heirloom.

Mark Cuson obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University between 2011 and 2018. Prior to that, they attended Los Altos High School from 2007 to 2011. Mark also has certifications in Wilderness First Aid from Stanford Wilderness Medicine, obtained in July 2015, and CPR from Stanford Wilderness Medicine, obtained in November 2012.
