HEIWADO CO., LTD. is mainly engaged in the retail sales and peripheral businesses. It has three segments. The Retail segment is engaged in the sale of books, videos, compact discs (CDs) and digital versatile discs (DVDs), the rental of videos, CDs and DVDs, the operation of department stores, as well as the leasing of real estates, among others. The Retail Peripheral segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of prepared rice and food products, the processing of meat and fish, the provision of building cleaning services, the leasing of stores, as well as the operation of commercial facilities and parking lots. The Others segment is involved in the operation of suburban restaurants, family restaurants, amusement arcades, bowling alleys and hotels, as well as development, sale and maintenance of real estate.
