Kahler Newsham has a diverse range of work experience in the biotechnology and financial industries. Kahler started their career as a Chemistry Lab Assistant at Summit High School, where they gained experience in preparing solutions, testing lab experiments, managing chemical stock supplies, and handling hazardous waste. In 2016, they worked as an Office Assistant at Merrill Lynch, where they addressed customer service issues, organized client files, and prepared year-end reports.

In 2017, Kahler interned as a Hereditary Angioedema Product Manager at Shire, gaining insights into product management responsibilities. Kahler then joined Tufts University as a Research Assistant, focusing on research activities from September 2017 to May 2018.

Kahler's biotechnology career began with an internship as a Purification Development Intern at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2018. In 2019, they continued at Regeneron as a Process Development Associate II, where they purified various antibodies at pilot scale and maintained electronic notebook records.

Kahler's most recent role was at Regeneron as a Process Development Engineer I, starting in January 2022. In this position, they acted as a project lead and subject matter expert for non-traditional antibody formats. Kahler designed and conducted experiments to optimize manufacturing conditions, participated in risk analysis, and coordinated additional testing as needed.

In September 2022, Kahler joined Helaina as a Bioprocess Engineer.

Kahler Newsham attended Summit High School from 2011 to 2015, where they did not receive a degree or specify a field of study. After completing high school, Kahler went on to attend Tufts University from 2015 to 2019. During their time at Tufts, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, Kahler has obtained several certifications from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), including "Minimizing & Identifying Process Safety Hazards" in April 2017 and "Process Safety Lessons Taught From Experience" in October 2016. They have also obtained a certification in "Chemical Reactivity Hazards" from AIChE. Kahler has expressed an interest in healthcare data analytics but has not obtained a certification in that field.
