Florent NICOLAS is an experienced professional with extensive knowledge in environmental studies and project management. Currently serving as an Associate Professional Secretary and Project Coordinator - Data Expert at HELCOM since March 2014, Florent has also held various roles including Project Researcher and Communication & Project Assistant within the same organization. Prior experience includes a research trainee position at The Finnish Environment Institute, focusing on human pressures in the Baltic Sea and maritime spatial planning. Additional research experience includes work at CNRS on fisheries and killer whale interactions in French sub-Antarctic waters, as well as a trainee role at Grieg Seafood BC examining salmon harvest and sonar technology. Florent holds a Master in Science degree in Environmental studies from ESA, L'Ecole supérieure des agricultures, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the same institution.
