Previous roles include Director of Community Investments and Volunteer Leadership at United Way of Lake County, where Shana was instrumental in founding the Women's Leadership Council, and Commissioner for the Highland Park Housing Commission, focusing on developing affordable housing. Shana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Scripps College and a Joint Masters Degree in Education from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion-Los Angeles.
