Hubert Zirimwabagabo

Hubert Zirimwabagabo currently serves as the Country Director for Helen Keller Intl, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Hubert worked as the Project Director at Nutrition International, where responsibilities included coordinating nutrition project activities in Chad and providing technical support to the ministry of health. From 2014 to 2022, Hubert was the Country Representative for The Carter Center, overseeing program operations and staff support, and previously served as Associate Director and Technical Advisor focusing on the Guinea Worm Eradication Program. Early career experience includes an internship at Management Sciences for Health and a role as Medical Coordinator for the American Refugee Committee, managing health services for Congolese refugees in Rwanda. Hubert holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Rwanda.
