Troy Phipps has a diverse work experience in product design and operations. Troy is currently Vice President of Design and Product Operations at Helen of Troy, overseeing product design, sustainability, go-to-market strategies, and product operations for the OXO and Hydro Flask brands, as well as go-to-market and product operations for Osprey. Prior to this role, they served as Senior Director of GTM and Product Operations at Hydro Flask and OXO.

Before joining Helen of Troy, Troy was the Category Director at OXO, responsible for four major categories, with full P&L responsibility. Troy led a ten-person team in strategic planning, growth strategy, product pipeline, product development, sourcing, and production for a portfolio of over a hundred products.

Earlier in their career, Troy held the position of Engineering Director at OXO, where they reorganized and managed a 15-person engineering team, focusing on improving information sharing, work review and approval processes, and mentoring. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Product Engineer and Product Engineer, bringing over 20 products to market and collaborating with external design firms.

Before their tenure at OXO, Troy worked as a Product Design Engineer at WideRay, contributing to the industrial design, mechanical engineering, and manufacture of electronic products. At Insight Product Development, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer, contributing to numerous consumer product, electronic, and medical device projects. Troy also had a residency internship at IDEO, where they played a role in designing a distinctive, brandable pill container for an arthritic pain reliever drug.

Troy Phipps obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Product Design and a minor in Studio Art from Stanford University between 1993 and 1997.
