B Pratyusha Chennupati has held various positions in the agricultural industry since 2012. B Pratyusha began their career as an Intern at A & L Biologicals Ltd, where they researched the potential of biofertilizers in corn production. In 2012, they also started working as a Research Assistant at McGill University, where they quantified relative gene expression of specific genes and prepared the lab for safety inspections. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Inocucor Technologies Inc. as a Development Scientist, Principal Scientist, and Senior Development Scientist. In 2016, they were appointed as a Registration Specialist at Nufarm. In 2020, they joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a Member of the Canadian Agriculture Youth Council, and they are currently employed as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at Heliae.

B Pratyusha Chennupati completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering from Andhra University between 2006 and 2010. B Pratyusha then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Plant Sciences from McGill University between 2010 and 2012. In addition, B Pratyusha Chennupati has obtained various certifications such as an Advancing Ag leadership Mentee from the Alberta Wheat and Barley commission in 2018, a General course on Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2017, an Innovation Associate from the Global Innovation Management Institute in 2017, a Certified Crop Science Consultant from the University of Saskatchewan in 2016, and a GLP certification.
