Andrew Thompson

Andrew Thompson, P.E. is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on geotechnical engineering. Currently serving as Project Manager at Helical Drilling since 2018, Andrew previously held the same title at Weston & Sampson from 2017 to 2018, where responsibilities included managing geotechnical project aspects, preparing contracts, scheduling, and construction management. Andrew's career began at CDM Smith from 2003 to 2017 as a Geotechnical Engineer, performing field observations, in-situ testing, report preparation, and staff training, eventually advancing to Geotechnical Laboratory Manager. Andrew holds a Master of Engineering in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Environmental Technology from North Carolina State University.
