Doug McCarville

Recently retired Boeing and SAMPE Technical Fellow; recipient of the Society of Manufacturing Engineering 2013 Jud Hall lifetime achievement award. 35 years of aircraft industry composites experience specializing in composite tooling, equipment and process development. A prolific author and inventor with 5 book chapters, 50 industry publications and 62 patents. Worked on a variety of commercial, military and space products, developing the methods for producing such innovative products as fuselage barrels and nacelles, lifting body missiles, fighter wings and inlet ducts, unmanned aerial vehicles, cryogenic tanks, and phased array antennas. Former adjunct professor with 15 years of teaching at the University of Washington and Oregon Institute of Technology.
