Bharat Tewarie

Bharat Tewarie serves as Chief Executive Officer at Helio Genomics since July 2025, where the company focuses on AI-powered cancer diagnostics, notably launching HelioLiver®, a blood-based liver cancer surveillance test. In addition, Bharat holds dual roles as CEO and Chair of the Board at ViroCarb Inc., a Toronto-based biotech company dedicated to developing broad-spectrum antiviral drugs, and as CEO and Co-Founder of TMS Global NV. Bharat is also a board member at Aveta Biomics, which develops immuno-oncology drugs, and the founder of Boston BioPharma Consultants. Furthermore, mentorship is provided to CEOs in the Life Science and Digital Health sectors through the NYU Stern School of Business Endless Frontier Lab Program. Previous roles include CEO at Neurocast, where remote brain health tracking technology was developed, and Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at UCB. Bharat holds a medical degree from Utrecht University and an MBA from Webster Leiden Campus.
