Polina Vasilenko

Polina Vasilenko has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Polina started their career as a Technician and Laboratory Technician at The All-Russian oil-and-gas scientific research institute. Polina then worked as an Engineer-Analyst at "Rinko Alyance" (DSC "Rinako"), where they developed and implemented foam cement technology and participated in specialized exhibitions.

Polina later joined Schlumberger as a Field Engineer, where they gained experience in offshore operations and participated in bidding processes. Polina then progressed to roles such as Cementing Engineer and Senior Technical and Sales Engineer, where they managed cementing jobs, developed QHSE procedures, and prepared technical and commercial proposals.

Polina also worked at Wello Oy as a Sales and Marketing Specialist, where they crafted the competitive advantage, supported company communications and negotiations with Russian-speaking stakeholders, and conducted market analysis using MATLAB software.

Polina then ventured into the startup world, joining Entrepreneur First as an Entrepreneur in Residence, supporting ambitious technologists in building deep technology startups. Polina also worked as an Innovation Expert at EIT Manufacturing, where they facilitated the identification of innovative approaches and ideas for the European manufacturing sector.

Polina served as a Coach at EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology, where they provided guidance and support to entrepreneurs. Polina also held roles at Paris Techstars Accelerator and Village Capital as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Advisory Board Member, respectively.

Most recently, Polina started their own company, HelioRec, where they serve as the Founder and CEO. In this role, they effectively represent the company, formulates short- and long-term strategies, and develops a clear vision and mission for the company.

Throughout their career, Polina has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in the oil and gas industry, and a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Polina Vasilenko's education history starts in 2001 when they enrolled at the Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Polina pursued a Master's degree in Plastics and Polymer Engineering Technology/Technician, completing their studies in 2007.

Following this, in 2009, Polina joined Schlumberger for their engineering education, although specific details about the degree they obtained are not provided.

In 2016, Polina continued their education at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, pursuing a Master's degree in Renewable energy (Ocean Energy). Polina completed this program in 2018.

The same year, they underwent training on "Осознанное обучение: Теория и практика/Conscious Learning: Theory and Practice" at SKB Kontur. In 2020, they also completed a course on "Agile и Scrum в работе над проектами" at the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University. Moreover, in 2020, Polina obtained a certification in "Creativity for Business" from IKRA.

In 2021, Polina acquired certifications as a Mentor in Tech from WOMEN IN TECH - Global Movement and in Mentoring from the National Federation of Professional Mentors and Coaches. Polina also completed a course on "Psychology of communication" at the National Research University — Higher School of Economics.

Lastly, in 2022, Polina participated in the Erasmus For Young Entrepreneurs program, which is a European exchange program for Entrepreneurs.
