Emmanuel Anka

Emmanuel (Manny) Anka serves as the Group Head of Tax at Helios Towers since May 2024, leading the tax functions of a prominent independent telecommunications tower group operating in Africa and the Middle East. Prior to this role, Manny held the position of Group Head of Tax at Gemfields Group, managing tax for a leading global supplier of responsibly sourced gemstones from countries like Zambia and Madagascar. Experience includes roles at IHS Towers as Senior Group Tax Specialist and Group Tax Manager, contributing to one of the largest telecommunications infrastructure groups, and VP, Head of Tax for the Caribbean Region at Cable & Wireless Communications, overseeing tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Manny's background includes positions at Acxiom, TAKE TWO INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE EUROPE LIMITED, Vantis plc, and BDO UK LLP. Academically, Manny possesses an LLM in United Kingdom & European Union Tax Law from Queen Mary University of London, alongside qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Taxation and ACCA, and a BSc Hons in Administration from the University of Ghana.
