Charles Funk

Charles Funk is the current CEO and Director at Redstar Gold Corp. Prior to this, they served as Vice President, New Opportunities and Exploration at Evrim Resources Corp from April 2016 to August 2019. During their time at Evrim, the company made two discoveries at Ermitaño and the Cuale oxide high sulphidation prospect.

Before joining Evrim, Funk served as a Senior Geologist at Newcrest Mining from August 2013 to February 2016. In this role, they were responsible for generating gold projects in the Americas. Charles then transitioned to Senior Geophysicist before leaving the company in July 2013.

In January 2011, Funk became Chief Executive Officer at Heliostar Metals Limited. Charles held this position until August 2006 when they began working as an Exploration Geologist/Geophysicist at Oxiana/OZ Minerals. Charles remained in this role until January 2011 when they took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Heliostar Metals Limited.

Charles Funk has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Earth Science from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Space Science (BSS) in Physics, Earth Science from La Trobe University.
