Tor-Björn Johansson

Tor-Björn Johansson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Tor-Björn is currently the CTO at Heliovision, where they are involved in strategic vision road mapping and provides training in optics, sensors, illumination, image processing, and 3D vision. Tor-Björn is also the owner of TOR Tech Training bvba, where they focus on providing training services. Prior to this, they were the CTO at Emsys | Process Monitoring Intelligence, where they again worked on strategic vision road mapping and provided training in various technical areas. Tor-Björn has also worked as a consultant for TETRA Smart Data Clouds at UAntwerpen, a trainer for NECS at EUROCONTROL, and a technology officer at Phaer. Additionally, they have experience as an R&D group responsible at ICOS Vision Systems - KLA-Tencor, a project manager at Philips Lighting, and in applied R&D and project management at LCI SmartPen in Leuven, Belgium.

Tor-Björn Johansson obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, where they studied from 1984 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Applied Science from KU Leuven, completing their doctoral studies from 1990 to 1995.
