Sean Beattie

Sean Beattie is an experienced ROV Senior Pilot Technician currently employed at Helix Energy Solutions Group since January 2023, focusing on the operation and maintenance of Triton XLX ROVs and completing cable installations for offshore wind farms. Previously, Sean worked at Global Offshore as an Operator Technician, where responsibilities included the operation and maintenance of various trenching systems and ROVs, and as an ROV Pilot on the Dan Tysk windfarm. Sean's career began at Fugro, where multiple roles, including ROV Pilot and workshop technician, were undertaken after completing a Modern Apprenticeship in ROV maintenance. Sean holds several Higher National Certificates in Mechanical Engineering, Measurement and Control, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North East Scotland College, along with SVQ qualifications in Engineering Maintenance. Academic background includes a Higher education from Ellon Academy.
