Nicole Washington

Nicole Washington is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product management and research within the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology. Currently serving as the Director of Product Management and Research at Helix since February 2016, Washington focuses on developing internal software tools for scientific and business teams. Prior to this role, a decade-long tenure at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory included significant contributions as a Research Scientist, leading the Monarch Initiative as Lead Bioinformaticist, where innovative systems for integrating biological data were developed. Washington's academic background includes a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Harvey Mudd College.
