Alisha Lewis

Alisha Lewis is a Scientist 1 at HelixBind, Inc., with a diverse background in food science and biotechnology. Alisha completed a PhD in Food Science from Cornell University in 2023, following a Master’s Degree in Food Technology from Wageningen University & Research, where specialization focused on Food Biotechnology and Biorefining. Earlier experience includes a probiotic internship at Danone Nutricia Research, conducting microbiological analysis of early-life nutrition products, and an internship with the European Federation of Food Science and Technology, communicating results from the 'MyNewGut' project. Alisha also interned at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, where isolation of Riboflavin carrier protein from chicken egg white was undertaken.
