Vasilios Salapatas graduated from Athens College in 1955 and continued his studies at the National Technical University of Athens, graduating in 1960. He received his MA and PhD from MIT in 1961 and 1966 respectively. He was CEO of Hellenic Steel SA and actively participated in many Greek organizations. In 1992, he became a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Athens College.
